Asked on 11 June 2015 by Hyundai owner. Answered by Honest John. I agree. If glowplugs have been in the head for a number of years their threads can corrode and fuse into the metal of the cylinder head. But if they have been replaced as recently as a year ago there should be no problem unless, as is suggested, they have somehow been cross-threaded.
Hyundai i30 - All season tyres uk - Engineer Andy : As Ethan says (agreeing you MUST get all 4 replaced if you wish to change tyre type), what tyres you need will depend on where you live in the UK as much as how often you use the car and for what purpose.

A few things annoy me a bit though. No power folding mirrors. Puny single reverse light. Only one bag hook in boot. Granted the ride on the 18in alloys can be a bit harsh but thats not really too much of a problem. I find the seat comfier that the Kia Rio i had before and i like the raised driving position.
Fuel use will certainly be higher than some competitors, especially when compared to Toyota’s parsimonious hybrid Corolla, but the i30’s 7.4L/100km claimed combined figure is achievable and matching the 5.9L/100km highway figure results in a range of almost 850km. It’s also happy with 91RON fuel and is compatible with E10.Looks more distinctive than original model. High quality interior. Very efficient engines. Excellent steering ride and handling on 15-inch wheels. - For more news, reviews and Top Tens, visit

Due to an accident, mileage has been curtailed and so far only covered 27,000 miles eventful though it has been. Smashed into whilst stationary at six months all dealt with by Hyundai assist and they were marvellous. A few problems have manifested itself Kia/ Hyundai DUAL-CLUTCH TRANSMISSION (DCT) Problems Apparently there is a big problems with the & 7 speed DCT (dual clutch transmission) automatic transmission. I believe they are fitted to a range of Kia/Hyundai cars, I believe Ceeds/Optima/Sportage etc. It is an automatic gearbox without a torque converter. Good quality and fairly stylish for an estate. Plenty of standard equipment. Comfortable ride. Economical diesel engines. Awkward boot shape. Lacklustre image. Insurance Groups are between 12–18. On average it achieves 78% of the official MPG figure. The Hyundai i40 Tourer is Hyundai doing what it does best.
At the heart of this is the battery and heater, As soon as you put the heating on from a full charge of around 180 miles, 30 miles comes off instantly, and the heater performs poorly, Twice a range of 11 and 15 miles has plumetted to 0 in seconds. Any electric use, headlamps, heater, wondscreen wipers instantly hits range.k9Ml.
